Here is a list of states that do not have a state-issued polygraph license: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington DC, Wisconsin, and Wyoming (Canada too!). Yet many states average LESS than one polygraph examiner available to the public per county.
Note: polygraph is the highest-paid-per-hour of the common investigative specialties.
